Heavily injured in the humerus after a fall in Jerez in 2020, Marc Marquez made his comeback in MotoGP at the Portimão 2021 Grand Prix.

After a season of absence to rebuild himself physically, the Spanish legend experienced many difficulties the previous season.

Often left behind by the frontrunners, it was not until the French Grand Prix that Márquez began to reacquaint himself with his unique and aggressive driving style. Having come close to success at Le Mans, the native of Cervera finally returned to victory at the Sachsenring round in Germany.

Natural candidate for the title

A success intersecting two slumps during the Spaniard’s season. If Marc Márquez is still far from being at 100% of his abilities, the Honda rider still signs two victories at Misano and Austin at the end of the season, before having to let go of the handlebars again at the end of the season following a diplopia.

In 2022, the six-time MotoGP world champion intends to fight for a new title. If Marc Márquez has lost none of his racing knowledge, the 2021 season seems to have been frustrating for the Honda rider who still scored 3 successes. Still looking for confidence with his aggressive riding style on the bike, the Spaniard could be a natural candidate for the title if he regains his full physical abilities.
