In 2021, General Motors, the leading American car manufacturer, will launch GMC’s new Hummer EV Pickup, and later release an SUV version with a wider audience, which is very popular among consumers.
However, GM said that due to the explosion in the number of rush orders, it had to stop taking orders in order to catch up with existing orders.
CNBC reported that GM said on September 21 that the GMC electric Hummer pickup and SUV were purchased with a gas ram, and the bookings exceeded the company’s expectations, with a cumulative influx of more than 90,000 pre-orders.
In order to process pending orders, it will stop accepting new pre-orders on September 22. If consumers want to buy, they must complete the order on the 21st at the latest.
The report pointed out that the GMC electric Hummer pickup and SUV currently ordered by the owner have been scheduled for delivery until 2024.
According to GM’s published model specifications,
- The GMC Hummer EV engine has a maximum horsepower of 1,000 horsepower,
- a peak torque of 11,500 pounds-feet (LB-FT), and
- an acceleration of 0-60 miles per hour (mph) in about 3 seconds.
The power performance is quite amazing.
In addition, the car is equipped with a new generation of driver assistance system Super Cruise, which can identify road conditions and automatically change lanes, similar to Tesla Autopilot.
On September 21, GM’s stock price fell 3.53% to close at $37.68, and it has fallen 35.73% this year.
