As a company, Tesla tops the list. In second place is the Chinese SAIC. In third place is the Volkswagen Group, which includes giant brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Skoda, Seat, Lamborghini and Bugatti.
Tesla stands out as the leading automaker in electric vehicle sales with 936,172 cars. Tesla is entering its fourth consecutive year at its peak. China BYD, which grows with 593,878 cars, comes in second place, and SGMW (SAIC, GM and Wuling) joint venture comes in third with 456,123 sales.
Volkswagen, which delivered 319,735 vehicles last year, is followed by BMW (276,037) in fifth place. Mercedes follows BMW with its (226,963) sales figure. SAIC (226,963), Volvo (189,115), Audi (171,371) and Hyundai (159,343) took the last four places of the top 10.
