At only age of 24, Max Verstappen is about to begin his 8th season in Formula 1. Son of former driver Jos Verstappen, Mad Max arrived as a starter at Toro Rosso at just 17 years old. Since 2015, the Dutchman has continued to polish his driving to become one of the fastest drivers on the grid. After just 23 races with Toro Rosso, the Dutchman was promoted to Red Bull at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix.

He then took the Red Bull by the horns to win his first race in Formula 1 during his first Grand Prix in the Austrian team. Renowned for its aggressive and instinctive style, the Batave achieves many feats over the course of the races, in the dry as in the rain. With his unrestrained attitude and relentless defence, Max Verstappen is a real racer. If he sometimes exceeds the limits to the point of annoying some of his rivals on the track, the Red Bull driver has continued to gain in maturity, while progressing in all areas.

Becoming the first Dutch world champion at just 24 years old, the reigning world champion lived the 2021 season as the highlight of his career. After battling against Lewis Hamilton for his first crown, the Red Bull driver is entering a new era in his career with bound to be higher expectations.

Our review For Max

Time has done its work. Becoming world champion in 2021, Max Verstappen has completed a first step in the destiny promised to him in Formula 1. If the fiery Dutchman finally realized his childhood dream the previous season, the hardest part is yet to come for the Red driver Bull. Indeed, reaching the summits requires a lot of work but knowing how to stay there is even more difficult.

This is therefore what Max Verstappen’s mission will consist of in 2022 and for the years to come. If the Dutchman does not seem to fear anyone, be careful not to neglect competition which could be even fiercer than in 2021 with the arrival of Russell at Mercedes and a potential comeback from Ferrari and McLaren at the front of the grid.

F1 Official calendar 2023 A record of 24 Grands Prix-min

The official 2023 Formula 1 calendar is down. 24 races will take place next season, a record. And the Monaco Grand Prix is maintained.

On May 28, the terraces of the Principality will once again be taken by storm to attend the Monaco Grand Prix, maintained, in extremis one might say, on the 2023 calendar which has just been made public.

In addition, it should be noted that 24 races will be on the program next season: do not look in the archives, it is a record in this area.

And of these 24 GPs, only nine will be raced on the Old Continent, including one during the Monaco Grand Prix, which therefore got hot in the buttocks,

but who will finally hold his rank again next year, on Sunday 28 May.

On the other hand, the Middle East can rejoice, with four Grands Prix announced: in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia at the start of the season, then in Qatar, and finally in Abu Dhabi to close the championship, it will be November 26, 2023. money king are impenetrable…

The States in force, the return of China

Threatened to disappear too like the French Grand Prix, the Belgian Grand Prix circuit, we have known for a few weeks now, is therefore back on the 2023 calendar.

It will be contested on July 30, 2023. If Europe sticks out its tongue, this is not the case with the United States, whose F1 has now become a “hype” discipline of motorsport, which for its part obtains three GP in 2023, as planned: Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.

Finally, we note the return of the Chinese GP next season, canceled since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and, of course, a Russian Grand Prix still absent from the calendar. The 2023 Formula 1 season will lift the curtain on March 5 in Bahrain.

What is the meaning of horsepower of a vehicle?

0
What is the meaning of horsepower of a vehicle-min

The definition of the power of a vehicle

The power of a vehicle refers to the maximum power delivered by its engine. It is expressed in Watts, in Horsepower (hp) or in DIN Horsepower.

Power depends on two forces

In an automobile, power depends directly on two other forces: torque, expressed in Newton Meters (Nm), and engine speed, expressed in revolutions per minute (rpm). Since the power is most often expressed in horsepower (hp), it results from the following operation:
Power (hp) = Torque (Nm) x Speed (rpm) / 7000

Understanding the unit of measurement HP

The unit of measurement ch corresponds to the name Horse-steam-electric, created at the end of the 18th century in order to compare the power of steam engines with that of horses. This unit of measurement represents the power of a horse pulling 75 kg at a walk, or the equivalent of one meter per second.

Note that a vehicle can be very powerful without having a high torque. This means that it will take more turns in order to reach the right power, to change gears for example. If the car has a high torque, it will need fewer revolutions to obtain the desired power.

Difference between engine power and tax horsepower

Engine power (hp) should not be confused with fiscal horsepower (CV), also called tax horsepower or administrative horsepower. The CV is a unit of measurement that is simply used to calculate the registration tax of the vehicle according to its engine power and its carbon dioxide emissions.

Moto Sapien: A futuristic electric motorcycle driven by Mind

0
Moto Sapien A futuristic electric motorcycle driven by Mind-min

The designer Anton Brousseau creates a futuristic design concept of electric motorcycle controlled by neural connection. Focus on the Moto Sapien project.

Agreed, a vehicle controlled by the human brain, that is nothing new in itself. It is even the basis of driving. The fundamental difference, however, with Moto Sapien is that Anton Rousseau’s concept bike (formerly of the Austrian studio Kiska in charge of KTM and Husqvarna) explores a future where the human brain would be “connected” to the motorcycle.

Motorcycle of the future

Moto Sapien is an electric motorcycle concept with a futuristic approach to say the least. Starting with its style, worthy of a science fiction film, straight out of the imagination of an extraterrestrial, a visionary or… an enlightened man. The silhouette is sharp, perforated, and very forward-looking. We could even see the look of a Ducati Streetfighter.

In the lower part, carbon in abundance, as well as an imposing power unit behind which is the electric motor in a central position, coupled with a belt transmission. According to the presentation video, the lighting is provided by LED strips at the front and at the back.

A kind of central projector also seems to sweep, in order to scan the environment and the traffic in front of the motorcycle. Still according to the video, the pilot equips himself with a “Neuralink” helmet in order to establish a direct connection between his brain and the machine.

MotoSapien Concept motorcycle: 100 kW and 450 km (280 miles) range

But here is the most interesting fact: once the pilot and his Neuralink are connected, the motorcycle responds to artificial muscles animated by electrochemical control.

The goal: “to drive the motorcycle directly, in a few milliseconds, thanks to… our thoughts. Everything happens indirectly, through the eyes and ears”. Cameras are also placed in the front and back. We can thus imagine a particularly sensitive connection between the road, the motorcycle, and the pilot.

In terms of performance, the Moto Sapien unsurprisingly relies on electric operation. The study’s zero-emission engine develops 100 kW (136 hp), and is powered by a large battery given a 450 km range.

If the concept is attractive, it may take a while before seeing this type of machine even in the test phase. Because, while waiting for the arrival of this new type of motorcycle, you will still have to use your head, hands and legs in the old fashioned way to drive your machine.

The MotoSapien Concept Motorcycle in a nutshell

  • A neural-connected motorcycle concept
  • Futuristic sports roadster look
  • Electrochemically controlled artificial “muscles”
  • thought leadership
  • Front / rear cameras
  • Electric motor: 100 kW / 136 hp
  • Autonomy: up to 450 km (280 miles)
